The first season of José Antonio Suárez and his codriver, Cándido Carrera in the World Rally Championship comes to an end this weekend with the running of the Wales Rally, the final date for the WRC Academy.

The Spaniard is looking forward to the challenge of the always tough British stages where the changeable weather is an almost guaranteed added factor of difficulty every year. After scoring his first podium at the Rallye de Alsace in the series for young drivers in the World Rally Championship, José Antonio will try to get another good result in Wales and finish on a high in a season where he has made constant progress.

This year Wales Rally presents several changes in its route, starting on Thursday with two runs through the tarmac stage of the Great Orme and one in the Clocaenog Forest and then on Friday and Saturday through the classic forest stages that has made the British rally famous. So therefore a mix of very tricky stages, full of surprises, where experience is crucial but that are totally new for José Antonio who is nevertheless willing to face this though challenge.
